Please read this document carefully before creating an account or accessing our global halal search catalogs, verification models, or enterprise APIs. By utilizing the platform, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by all provisions set forth below.

Part I

Terms of Service & Platform Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms & Contractual Scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and HalalOne (“HalalOne”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the HalalOne platform, web applications, search engine directories, verification engines, WebSocket interfaces, APIs, and associated services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, browsing the catalog, initiating queries, uploading product barcodes, or accessing any data stream, you represent and warrant that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our integrated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the Platform.

2. Definitions & Key Terminology

Throughout this agreement, the following terms shall have the designated meanings:

  • Certification Authority (CA): Accredited third-party Islamic bodies, government ministries, or regional agencies responsible for conducting halal audits and issuing conformity certificates.
  • Halal Intelligence Repository:HalalOne’s structured database of standardized product records, barcode mappings, ingredient compliance flags, and authority registry cross-references.
  • Status Determinations: Informational designations (including Halal, Mushbooh/Doubtful, Haram, or Unverified) synthesized through automated indexing and direct agency records.
  • Enterprise User: Any corporate entity, manufacturer, food auditor, or supply chain organization operating under an enterprise workspace or API subscription.

3. User Registration, Account Security & Password Standards

To access specific features such as conversational intelligence, customized product tracking, and verified search histories, you are required to register an account. You agree to:

  1. Provide true, accurate, current, and complete personal and organizational information as prompted during registration.
  2. Maintain and promptly update your registration details to ensure uninterrupted compliance and security validation.
  3. Establish and maintain a high-entropy password meeting platform complexity rules (minimum 8 characters, containing uppercase, lowercase, numeric, and special character requirements).
  4. Maintain strict confidentiality of your authentication credentials and accept full accountability for all activities performed under your account.
  5. Immediately notify HalalOne Security Operations (security@halalone.com) of any unauthorized account access, credential compromise, or security anomalies.

4. Permitted Usage & Access Rights

HalalOne grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and interact with the platform solely for lawful personal consumer research, institutional verification, supply chain analysis, and halal market transparency in accordance with these Terms.

Commercial redistribution, systematic dataset re-hosting, wholesale embedding, or automated downstream resale of HalalOne catalog contents is strictly prohibited without an executed enterprise data licensing agreement.

5. Prohibited Activities & Platform Abuse

Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in any of the following unauthorized activities:

  • Deploying unauthorized web scrapers, spiders, robots, crawlers, or automated harvesting scripts against our catalog interfaces or WebSocket channels.
  • Circumventing, tampering with, or degrading rate limits, connection concurrency thresholds, IP throttles, or security controls.
  • Submitting false, fraudulent, manipulated, or counterfeit halal certificates, fake ingredient statements, or malicious barcode claims.
  • Decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling, or extracting the source algorithms, prompts, or neural models powering HalalOne intelligence agents.
  • Using the service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international regulations, trade sanctions, or intellectual property rights.

6. Halal Data Provenance, Verification & Disclaimers

HalalOne compiles information from public regulatory publications, verified certifying authorities, government gazettes, laboratory disclosures, and manufacturer submissions. While we apply strict data integrity pipelines, automated validation checks, and source auditing:

Advisory Reference Notice: All classifications, certification numbers, validity dates, and compliance summaries provided on the platform are for informational, analytical, and consumer guidance purposes only.

Commercial & Trade Clearances: Enterprises engaged in cross-border food export, customs filings, bulk ingredient procurement, or strict religious determinations must verify critical certificate validity directly with the primary certifying body or accredited agency before executing transactions.

7. AI Agent Syntheses, Search & Citations

Our platform utilizes neural intelligence models and retrieval-augmented verification agents to assist with ingredient analysis, regulatory cross-checks, and multi-jurisdictional compliance searches.

Every agent response is paired with transparent citations and source provenance tags wherever primary records are available. HalalOne does not guarantee that synthesized reasoning outputs are completely error-free or exhaustive under all specific Islamic schools of jurisprudence (Madhabs), and users should cross-reference listed primary sources.

8. Barcode Lookups & User Submissions

When you upload product imagery, packaging photographs, barcodes (GTIN, UPC, EAN), or nutritional disclosures:

  • You grant HalalOne a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to parse, extract, normalize, and index non-personally identifiable product metadata for the purpose of improving repository accuracy and global consumer intelligence.
  • You warrant that you possess the necessary rights to submit such product documentation and that submissions do not infringe upon any third-party proprietary rights or contain defamatory content.

9. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Rights

The Platform, including but not limited to its proprietary database schemas, user interfaces, branding, software architecture, algorithm pipelines, design graphics, and data compilations, is the exclusive intellectual property of HalalOne and its licensors. All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE HALALONE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL HALALONE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR DATA SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR RELIANCE UPON THE PLATFORM.

Part II

Comprehensive Privacy & Data Protection Policy

11. Privacy Framework, Scope & Commitment

HalalOne is committed to safeguarding your personal data and upholding international privacy standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and applicable global data protection frameworks.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, process, transfer, and protect your information when you interact with our web services, mobile interfaces, and authentication systems.

12. Information We Collect

We collect information strictly necessary to provide secure, reliable, and tailored verification services:

A. Information You Provide Directly

Account registration details (name, email address, password hashes, enterprise affiliation), uploaded product imagery for ingredient parsing, search preferences, and direct customer support communications.

B. Automatically Collected Technical Data

IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, session timestamps, routing telemetry, and system diagnostic logs utilized solely for security hardening and rate limiting enforcement.

C. Verification & Catalog Interaction Data

Query keywords, barcode scan records, filter selections, and chat session contexts required to maintain conversational state across your active workspace.

13. Legal Basis & Purpose of Data Processing

We process personal data under clearly established legal grounds under international privacy statutes:

  • Contractual Performance: To maintain your user profile, authenticate sessions, and deliver requested catalog searches and AI queries.
  • Legitimate Interests: To detect fraud, block malicious automated attacks, optimize database indexes, and improve platform speed.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: To fulfill statutory accounting, compliance audits, and regulatory requests.
  • Consent: For opt-in features such as regulatory news alerts and enterprise notifications.

14. Cookies, Local Storage & Session Management

HalalOne utilizes strictly necessary session tokens and secure browser storage cookies to persist user authentication state, UI preferences (such as theme and compact directory modes), and security CSRF tokens.

We do not deploy invasive third-party cross-site behavioral tracking cookies, nor do we sell user browsing histories to advertising networks or data brokers.

15. Third-Party Data Disclosures & Sub-Processors

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared exclusively with vetted infrastructure providers and sub-processors bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements:

  • Cloud Hosting & Databases: Certified Tier-4 cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase, PostgreSQL, encrypted storage arrays) ensuring encrypted data persistence.
  • AI Model Inference: Secure enterprise inference endpoints utilized for parsing and conversational response synthesis, operating under zero-data-retention agreements for model training.
  • Legal & Law Enforcement: Disclosures made solely when strictly mandated by valid subpoena, court order, or binding statutory directive.

16. Data Retention, Global Storage & Security Standards

We enforce stringent technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:

  • Encryption Standards: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3 protocols; data at rest is secured via AES-256 encryption.
  • Password Security: Passwords are cryptographically salted and hashed using modern irreversible algorithms (bcrypt/Argon2). Plaintext passwords are never stored or logged.
  • Retention Limits: Account data is retained for the duration of your active account. If you request account closure, personal identification records are permanently purged or anonymized within 30 days.
